Escape from Downunda

David Mencken looked over the plane ticket he had just bought. He had to scrape together every last bit of savings he had in order to afford it, but he was able to make arrangements for a small apartment in Cumbria, a rental from the airport and a plane ticket on a Cargo Plane out of Downunda.

Little did he realize that he wouldn't be the only one. Donavonn was fighting for his life, to escape the gang he left behind. Donavonn scrambled for the plane, fighting off the gang members as he ran. The gang he was running from had no intent of letting him escape alive. "The Scythe has ordered us to kill him." Those words reverberated in Donavonn's memory as he kept running.

He had managed to give them the slip in the airport, but stowing away on the cargo plane would be a whole different matter entirely. Donavonn looked around, evading cameras and security at every turn. He HAD to get on that plane and get out of the country. He knew he wouldn't be able to evade that group's forces if he didn't.

Finally, he found his way into the luggage section of the plane, after getting in via the runway, and sneaking past the employees at the airport. . He almost didn't make it, as the fight with the group cost him a lot of time and energy. Donavonn managed to get to the warmer part of the cargo hold, and bundled up for a long flight.

He took that time to mourn the deaths of so many of his friends, his family, his own. He held onto the pendant he wore in remembrance, as the cargo plane he was on took him to a new start.

David stretched out after the long flight. It proved to be short on space, but he couldn't complain. After all, at least he was clear from the fighting and the chaos that was consuming his homeland. But as he entered the airport, he heard something.

"FIND THAT STOWAWAY!"

David's curiosity got the better of him, as did his own thoughts. Someone went through a lot of trouble to escape Downunda. Probably in the same boat I am. David waited, looking around, before he saw Donavonn blending into a crowd.

But the Fuzz was closing in fast, and Donavonn wouldn't be able to outrun them. David did a mock-stretch on a chair, and tripped the security chasing after Donavonn. Once he saw where Donavonn ran, he followed suit, careful to be discreet. He soon spotted Donavonn, scrambling to find a place to hide.

"Hey, it is me." Donavonn recognized him. "Aren't you the one I saved…?"

"Yeah, it is me. My name is David, but you can call me Cheshire. I can help you out." David began thinking of a plan. He didn't have much time before the security would show up, but it was then that he noticed that Donavonn was wearing a woman's trench coat.

"I think I have it, but tell me, are you averse to crossdressing?"

"If it will get me out of here, no."

"Good. First, we'll need some women's clothes, in your size if we can get them." With the chaos still ongoing, David had little trouble taking some luggage in the confusion. He also took a motorcycle helmet as well. "Okay, 'Donna,' time for a makeover."

Cheshire got to work immediately. Donavonn changed into a dress, and improvised some "Falsies" with some toilet paper and a bra. David, meanwhile, kept an eye open for any security still looking for them. The helmet was also added to make "Donna" look pregnant. "Okay, 'Donna,' it is time for us to get out of here. After we cause a distraction."

David looked around carefully, and got to work, getting a lighter and some petroleum jelly from the duty-free store, while Donavonn stole several rolls of toilet paper from the bathroom, and a number of cleaners from the janitor's closet. Once they assembled everything, they began to work on the distraction. Cheshire made several "fuses" by rolling the toilet paper into very thin rolls, before dipping them in the jelly.

Donavonn began mixing the cleaners together into several discarded soda bottles he found in the trash. Soon, David set up the fuses in the bottles. After three such things were made, David lit the fuses in the air vents, and the two walked away.

Donavonn grinned when he told Chesh. "Once the distraction goes off, we can escape in the confusion." Several minutes later, smoke was seen in the air vents. "FIRE!" Alarms began to go off, and that is when the act began.

"MOVE IT PEOPLE, COMING THROUGH, VERY PREGNANT WOMAN HERE!" It was David yelling at the top of his lungs, while "Donna" did his best impersonation of a very pregnant woman. David meanwhile, had to keep the act up. "Hold on, Donna, you are gonna be alright!" He gave "her" a kiss on the cheek just for show.

Even the security let them through when they saw what they thought was a pregnant couple. And once they were outside and well clear, David and Donavonn managed to get to their waiting rental and leave the scene of their crime. As he saw the airport in the rear-view mirror, small fireballs leapt out of the vents. "I think we overdid it. Let's put some distance between us and our crime, shall we?"

"Sure thing, dear." Donavonn winked as he pulled out the motorcycle helmet from his stomach, which also had his original clothing in it. "I think we'll hold onto this. Might need it again sometime. So, where are we heading now?"

"The apartment. We can't very well go back to the airport, and luckily, I can turn in my rental in town. Saves me some trouble. You never did tell me your name."

"It is Donavonn. Donavonn Yerin Dingo."

"Good to meet you, Donavonn. I am David Mencken. Looks like we're roomies."
